The latest advancements in Plesk for Windows include more than 40 valuable new features and updates for hosting providers and resellers that offer or plan to offer Windows-based hosting services. · Native Components - In this new release, Plesk can now be installed on IIS instead of Apache, and the JET database engine or Microsoft SQL Server can be used for storing configuration data.
· Integration with Virtuozzo - Plesk now integrates transparently with Virtuozzo Power Panels, providing Administrators more control over their VPSs and enabling access to the account via the browser even when a VPS is down.
· PHP 5 Support - Plesk for Windows users now have a choice between the latest PHP 5 release or PHP 4.4.2, providing more flexibility for PHP programmers.
· SiteBuilder 3.1 Support - ASP.NET-based SiteBuilder is supported, providing a cleaner more powerful user interface, better scalability, more graphic templates, interactive features, and the ability to continue site development in Visual Studio.
· 64-bit Support - Plesk for Windows supports 64-bit versions of Windows Server 2003, and recommends 64-bit hardware as preferred for deployment under Virtuozzo.
