December 22, 2006 – (TopHosts News Brief) — SSA Host announced it’s now offering its services to the general public today.
Parent company, Sirkels & Squares Alternative, had been providing hosting services privately since 2000, before SSA Host was launched. The new subsidiary hopes to target small to medium sized businesses, including Web developers and designers.
SSA Host now offers shared hosting in six different configurations. Its entry-level Beginner Plan, starting at $.99/monthly, includes 100MB of storage space and 1.5GB of monthly data transfer. All accounts are hosted on Linux servers and feature a full suite of email related tools, support for various development languages like Perl and PHP, preinstalled scripts, and advanced website management and analytics tools.
“Many hosts configure their plans so that customers end up purchasing significantly more resources than they actually need,” Kristopher Jordy, owner of Sirkels & Squares Alternative, said in a company press release. “We’ve changed that. Our plans are designed and setup with our demographic in mind, and are priced accordingly—eliminating waste while allowing our company to still remain competitive.”
