January 8, 2007 – (TopHosts News Brief) – XSI Hosting announced today it has publicly launched its flagship Windows and Linux Web hosting plans, and a partnership with ScanAlert to offer PCI Compliance scanning and HackerSafe certification. The company had been previously serving local hosting customers only.
XSI’s online Web hosting plans, in development for the past six months, are aimed at a wide variety of users, including end-users, small to medium sized businesses, and hosting resellers.
“We have made it a priority to serve a broad spectrum of clients, even initially. Our offering of over twelve shared plans and twelve reseller plans reflects that commitment,” Larry Stevens, founder and CEO of XSI Hosting parent company Xanadu Servers, Inc., said in a company press release.
Linux plans are available with either the cPanel or Plesk control panel, and Windows plans feature solely the Plesk Control Panel.
XSI Hosting also hopes to appeal to online merchants by offering ScanAlert Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance scanning, a service allowing hosting customers to accept and process credit cards on their websites. PCI Compliance is a security standard required by all major credit card companies, which must be met in order to process credit cards.
