Web hosting provider Easy CGI today announced improvements to the speed of their Hosting Control Panel, making it five times faster than before

February 16, 2007 – (TopHosts News Brief) – Easy CGI announced enhancements to the speed of their Hosting Control Panel today.

The company’s Hosting Control Panel is the primary customer interface for Easy CGI’s 20,000 shared hosting customers, providing administrative tools for every aspect of all customer accounts. ActiveState’s PerlEx pre-compiler made the dramatic speed improvements possible. Rather than requiring the Easy CGI Control Panel code to compile on each execution or page load, a pre-compiled image of the Control Panel is loaded into memory.

Using PerlEx, user executions are not subject to compilation time, and are much faster due to this “in memory” runtime execution. The end result is an improvement in page load time of about 500%, helping enhance the overall customer experience.
