May 18, 2007 – (TopHosts News Brief) – AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) announced that their managed Web hosting got high marks in a recent product assessment by the research firm, Current Analysis.
AT&T’s managed Web hosting received a very high “outstanding” rating by Current Analysis, in two of five customer-buying criteria. The criteria included Applications Support and Business Continuity Services.
AT&T’s services were also ranked “strong” (four out of five star rating) in categories: Service Level Agreements, Operating System and Server Platforms supported, and Supplemental Services.
“AT&T provides an excellent value that delivers the range of services that enterprises need in order to run their businesses effectively, backed by the quality that customers have come to expect from a provider such as AT&T,” Counse Broders, research director, with Current Analysis, said in a PRWeb release. “AT&T’s broad set of hosting solutions makes it easier for customers to offload core IT management tasks and redirect internal resources to areas of higher business value.”
The report also mentions AT&T’s recent acquisition of USinternetworking (USi) and the addition of AT&T Southeast (formerly BellSouth) in allowing them to increase their managed application presence, and in their ability to tap new domestic markets for hosting services. It also credits AT&T’s ability to support these services out of 32 global Internet data centers (IDCs) — with plans to expand to 38 by the end of 2007 — providing it with an advantage in deploying applications worldwide.
