May 22, 2007 — Verio Inc., a leading provider of online business services, hosting and managed solutions, was named a Finalist today in the Best Customer Service Organization category in The 2007 American Business Awards, due to the high scores Verio received during the preliminary judging stages. More than 2,000 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration.
Verio is being honored for its innovative approach to serving customers in the small and medium sized business market with functional hosting services and online business solutions. Through a number of customer service-related initiatives that span performance levels, quality assurance, training and technological improvements in the company’s call centers, Verio’s Customer Service Organization succeeded in improving individual representative and organization scores across the board, including increasing customer satisfaction levels by nearly 10 percent.
“Verio’s customer service and support team is just one example of our success in putting customers and their business and technology needs at the forefront of our company,” said Dennis Boyle, chief operating officer for Verio. “It is truly an honor to be included in such a prestigious group with the other finalists for this award.”
Hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” (New York Post, April 27, 2005), The American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business.
Stevie Award winners will be announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 11 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. More than 700 executives from across the US are expected to attend. The ceremonies will be videocast on the Internet and broadcast on radio, and hosted by Larry Wilmore of TV’s THE DAILY SHOW with JON STEWART.
