May 23, 2007 Industry Sessions: “Exploiting the Hottest Hosting Trends and Technologies” addresses Web developers, designers and ISVs who want to gain more control over their hosting offerings, but often cannot spare the manpower or resources required for management and ongoing maintenance. This conflict has been resolved by the rise of Virtual Private Servers (VPS). As the creator of VPS technology, Verio can provide insight on the latest advances in virtual hosting and related technologies and their impact and benefits to small and midsized businesses. Verio’s Senior Director of Virtual Technology Bill Davis will lead session S4 - “Exploiting the Hottest Virtualization Trends and Technologies” where he will share information on how users can significantly expand their portfolio of offerings and broaden their client base by taking advantage of the dedicated-like features of a VPS, such as privacy and managed services to generate solid business growth opportunities.
Verio will also host session VS3, “The Managed Hosting Challenge! Verio and 360° Managed Servers”, which will detail the managed hosting landscape and where offerings will compete for a Verio Managed Private Server (MPS). The session will include live demos of the MPS and showcase how Verio’s 360° Managed Servers family of hosting solutions offers customers access to a diverse portfolio of hosting technologies to help them maintain and grow their IT infrastructures. Andrea Lewis, senior product manager, will address solutions that help businesses eliminate the recurring costs associated with owning their own server and keeping up with hardware and applications that can quickly become outdated.
