SunGard reached an agreement to acquire VeriCenter, Inc., a managed hosting, co-location, and infrastructure services provider

July 20, 2007 - (TopHosts News Brief) - SunGard announced it reached a definitive agreement to acquire VeriCenter, Inc., managed hosting, colocation, and infrastructure services provider.

Through the acquisition, VeriCenter will become part of SunGard Availability Services. The transaction terms have not yet been disclosed. The terms are not expected to have a material impact on SunGard’s financial results.

The acquisition boosts SunGard’s economies of scale and enhances SunGard’s service offerings that combine dedicated and shared resources tailored to specific customer information availability needs. The VeriCenter resources will also complement SunGard’s business continuity and production hosting solutions.
