At this year’s LinuxWorld, Verio, a leader in managed business services, will be supporting the open source and Linux communities with its Linux Test Drive program. Designed with businesses and developers in mind, all show attendees will be invited to register for a free Verio Linux Virtual Private Server (VPS) trial account, allowing them to observe first-hand how they can leverage the VPS for an e-commerce solution, a custom development environment, a corporate intranet, an email management system or even a hosted blog or podcast. Trial account users will also benefit from the VPS’s vinstall tool and software library for fast deployment of multiple preconfigured applications: Apache 2.2.3 comes installed on Linux VPS for faster performance, PHP 5.1.5 provides support for popular technologies such as XML, SOAP and MySQL and others, support for object oriented programming is also provided.
