September 21, 2007 (TopHosts newswire) – Attenda Limited, a London-based Web host, has been selected to host the new Rugby Football Union Follow England website.
The team’s supporters can follow the team’s progress at the Rugby World Cup 2007 in France.
The Web host has been managing the main RFU website for four years but the England Supporters site and application was specifically launched for the World Cup. It is part of a three-year contract renewal with Attenda and is expected to generate thousands of unique hits.
The website provides users with a range of features including the latest news, exclusive video clips, a daily podcast, a player diary, blogs, an exclusive column from Elite Rugby Director Rob Andrew and Ask Ashton, a regular Q&A session with England Head Coach Brian Ashton.
“We have developed a strong partnership with Attenda and rely upon their high quality Web applications managed service to provide our customers with the optimum online experience,” Mike Morris, Network manager for RFU said in a statement. “Attenda were able to deliver an on demand highly scalable solution for our innovative Follow England website, enabling us to bring the site online in time for the start of England’s 2007 Rugby World Cup campaign.”
