Customers can now test out Beta versions of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 prior to their official release on February 27, 2008.

The Windows plan includes 100 MB of disk space, 25 GB of data transfer and remote site administration. Other features include Windows Server 2008 RC0 with IIS 7.0, modular architecture, delegated administration and tighter integration with .NET.

The SQL Server plan includes a 100 MB Data File, a 20 MB Transaction Log and a login with DBO rights. Other features include enhanced encryption options, a new resource governor, new data and time data types and table parameters to stored procedures.
