Web host is one of the few companies to provide a hosting solution that incorporates Asterisk VoIP software.

November 30, 2007 (TopHosts News Brief) - Cirrus Tech Ltd., a Toronto, Ontario-based Web host, announced that it has forged a partnership with Group 3 Corp.

Cirrus will incorporate Group 3’s Asterisk Version 1.4 VoIP software, a telephone engine and tool kit, into its Web hosting solutions. Cirrus’ product manager Ali Mirdamadi said it is one of the few hosting companies to offer this solution in a statement issued by the company.

Some of the features include Asterisk as a Switch (PBX), Asterisk as a Gateway, Asterisk as feature/media center, Asterisk in the Call Center and Asterisk as a Network.
