May 28, 2008 (TopHosts News Brief) Namesco Ltd, a UK shared Web hosting provider and domain registrar, announced that it has acquired Register365.com.
The acquisition was made through Namesco’s Irish subsidiary (Namesco Ireland Ltd) and immediately adds 40,000 domains to the company’s portfolio.
Register365 is part of Hosting365, Ireland’s largest Web hosting provider, serving 75,000 customers.
“We are delighted to acquire Irelands largest Domain and Hosting provider as this further consolidates our position as one of the leading shared Hosting and Domain providers in the world,” said Jason Smith, Namesco’s Operations Director, in a press announcement. “We look forward to continuing to provide the high levels of service Register365s customers are accustomed to.”
Namesco Ltd (http://www.names.co.uk) based in Worcester, UK, currently manages in excess of 400,000 domain names and was acquired in July 2007 by Dada, an Italian Web services and telecommunications provider.
At the ISPA (Internet Service Providers’ Association) Awards held on March 14, 2008 at the Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London, Namesco was voted ‘Best Shared Hosting Provider’ in the UK.
