Jersey City, NJ — October 1, 2008 – DataPipe , a global provider of managed IT services, announced today that it will sponsor the New York City BSD Conference , the main technical conference on the East Coast for the BSD community to collaborate, learn, and network.

The Conference will be held October 11-12, 2008 at Columbia University in the Davis Auditorium . Over the course of the two day conference BSD User enthusiasts, System Administrators, and Developers will gather to hear from leading BSD developers and practitioners. Headlining the presentations are well-known developer of the HAMMER file system and DragonFly BSD project director Matthew Dillon, as well as the prominent developer of the ZFS file system Pawel Jakub Dawidek, and Michael Lucas the creator of Absolute FreeBSD and Absolute OpenBSD.
