Oct. 14, 2008 - (TopHosts News Brief) - The Endurance International Group, one of the global leaders in providing Web hosting and online services, announced that Accel-KKR has purchased a majority stake in the company. Accel-KKR currently has $1 billion USD worth of assets under management.
Burlington, MA-based, Endurance, merged with Web host, IPOWER in May 2007 and acquired PowWeb in April 2006. Endurance serves more than 600,000 subscription accounts worldwide and manages over one million domain names.
Steve Sydness, CEO of Endurance and Executive Vice Presidents Hari Ravichandran and Thomas Gorny continue to own significant stakes in the company and will retain existing roles.
