Available immediately, the Xeon 5405 features the largest memory and storage capacity among single-processor servers, offering customers a powerful solution for their hosting requirements at an economical price.

With a robust 5000-sequence Xeon processor, the server easily supports database, e-mail and Web server applications. Available in both SATA and SAS configurations, the Xeon 5405 is the only single-processor Planet Alpha server that holds up to six storage drives. It is equipped with RAM capacity up to 32GB, with larger configurations available that provide customers the flexibility to design the solution that best meets their requirements.

The new Xeon 5405 offers a rich feature set:

Increased storage capacity: The single-processor, multi-core server supports up to six 1TB SATA drives or six 300GB SAS drives. It also supports RAID 5 and RAID 10 cards for businesses with additional storage or redundancy requirements.

Expanded memory: Each server has up to 32GB of RAM, with larger configurations available for advanced environments.

Easy upgrade path: It features the same chassis as Dual Xeon dual-processor servers, offering an easy transition path for customer growth.

Suitable for multi-server environments: The server is available as a single hosted solution, or it can be added to an existing virtual or private rack environment.

The Xeon 5405 SATA is priced at $249 per month, and the Xeon 5405 SAS is priced at $284. Both are available in the company’s six world-class data centers.
