Germany's STRATO is answering queries from Web hosting customers who wish to switch hosts.

Dec. 9, 2008- (TopHosts News Brief)-LYCOS Europe which announced on Nov. 26, 2008 its intention to discontinue Web hosting operations, is introducing STRATO as an exclusive partner for customers seeking to switch hosts.

Berlin-based STRATO, one of the largest Web hosting providers in Europe, is currently working with LYCOS on transferring domains to help customers with the transition. Additionally, STRATO is answering customer inquiries via free online chat, hot-line and call back services.

LYCOS plans to announce more details about the STRATO relationship in mid-December likely during the shareholder’s meeting scheduled in Amsterdam on December 12th. It was previously announced that the company’s shareholders will receive approximately 50 million euros in total.
