10 June 2009, London: 1&1 Internet has today launched exciting new server packages. 1&1 customers now have a choice between 8 different hardware configurations for dedicated Linux, Windows, or 1&1 Website servers. All server offerings include unlimited data transfer and 250 GB of FTP backup space in 1&1’s high security data centre.
Internet users can now choose between five servers with Dual Core processors and three models with Quad Core CPUs. With the Dual Core M and Dual Core XXL servers, 1&1 has also introduced two all-new server packages.
At £39.99/month+VAT (Windows server: £49.99/month+VAT) , the 1&1 Dual Core M Server provides an AMD-Athlon 4200+ CPU with two-fold 2.2, GHz, a Raid 1 system with two 250 GB hard drives and 2 GB of RAM.
The 1&1 Dual Core XXL Servers contain two AMD Opteron 2216 HE processors and 8 GB of RAM. During June, the Dual Core XXL is available at only £69.99/month+VAT for the first six months, £149.99/month+VAT from the seventh month onwards. For Windows configuration, the prices are £79.99/month+VAT for first six months and £169.99/month+VAT thereafter.
1&1’s ideal offering for beginners is the 1&1 Dual Core S Server – available at only £29.99/month+VAT (Windows configuration: £39.99/month+VAT) – featuring an impressive Dual Core AMD-Athlon 3800+ processor and two160 GB hard disks with Raid 1.
For professionals, the 1&1 Quad Core XXL Server provides a true Raid 5 system with three hard disks and 1,500 GB of usable storage space. Two AMD Opteron 2352 CPUs add up to a superb 8 processor cores. 1&1’s top-notch server has 16 GB of RAM and is available for a limited time only for £119.99/month+VAT for six months (£249.99/month+VAT thereafter. Windows configured Quad Core XXL servers are priced at £129.99/month+VAT for the first six months and £259.99/month+VAT).
