Web Hosting Provider, HostDime Completes Brazilian Data Center

Current Web hosting client base of over 5,000 clients in Brazil division has been creating a demand for local servers

ORLANDO, Fla., August 18, 2009 ñ HostDime, a provider of managed hosting services, announced today it has completed construction of a new data and network operations center in Brazil, greatly expanding the hosting capacity of the companyís local division, HostDime Brazil.

When HostDime opened its international division in Brazil nearly three years ago, there were no plans to open a data center facility locally. However, rapidly rising demand for locally-hosted services in Brazil has made the move necessary, and will enable HostDime Brazil to boast a comparative advantage in terms of both reduced costs and greater accessibility. Its current client base of over 5,000 clients just from the Brazil division also has been creating a demand for local servers, and with more than 200% growth per year in the division, this facility expansion will propel further growth.

The new 5,000 square foot data center is located in the equivalent of Class-A office space, down the hall from HostDime Brazilís business office in the same complex. The data center suite is fully supported by an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and generator to minimize service disruption in the event of a power-grid failure. HostDime originally selected Jo„o Pessoa, ParaÌba, Brazil, to host its operations due to the cityís record as natural-disaster-free, with no hurricanes or earthquakes in its history. It is also the easternmost city in the Americas at 34∫47’38”W, 7∫9’28”S and is often cited as the second greenest city in the world. The data center is also one of the very few in the northern part of Brazil, helping businesses to host outside the saturated southern part of Brazil like S„o Paulo.
