Irish Web Host Digiweb Acquires Smart Telecom

Irish Web hosting provider leaps to viable telecommunications competitor.

(08-12-09) TopHosts News Brief: Dublin-based telecommunications firm, Smart Telecom, has cleared
the Court examination process and is eligible to become part of the Digiweb Group, which provides Web hosting and data center services.

The new telecommunications organization will combine to generate €40 million (58.8 million USD) with more than 150 employees altogether. A subscriber base of 46,500 business, residential, corporate and government clients for broadband, data and telephony will be combined with more than 48,000 Web hosting, domain and data centre customers.
