NOVI, Mich. (March 8, 2010) – Future
Hosting, an Internet solutions provider serving SMBs and enterprises internationally
and developer of Future
Engineer™, today announced it has completed a major upgrade on its
entire fleet of Virtual Private Server nodes, responding to increases in utilization
of system resources by customers.
The upgrades affect all Virtual Private Server nodes in the company’s
five international data centers. Hardware in each node now includes Dual Intel®
Xeon processors (upgraded in power by up to 50 percent for many clients), SAS
hard drives in RAID-10 configuration, and 24-36GBs of RAM. All nodes are also
connected to an internal private network through a dedicated Network Interface
Card (NIC), which offers unlimited VPS-to-VPS data transfer and secure maintenance
cap abilities.
“As our customers grow, so do the complexity of their hosting needs
and the demands their Web applications place on our infrastructure. Maintaining
a stable, high level of service in this industry can never mean meeting the
needs the customer had when they signed up—it can only mean meeting the
needs the customer has today, and as importantly, the needs the customer will
have tomorrow,” said Future Hosting
Chief Strategy Officer Stephen Kowalski.
Virtual Private Servers from Future
Hosting are available in a wide variety of configurations, including on both
managed and unmanaged plans. Customers are also able to locate their server
in any of Future Hosting’s five international data centers, in Chicago,
Dallas, London, Seattle, or Washington, D.C.
Future Hosting is the developer of Future
Engineer™, a technical support automation system designed to automate
time consuming server configuration and repair tasks on Virtual Private Servers
(VPS), Future Engineer™ allows clients to receive a greater level of technical
support than is available when technicians spend their time performing routine
or basic maintenance tasks. With Future Engineer™, technicians are free
to spend their time offering a level of technical support that is unrivaled
and otherwise unaffordable.
