TopHosts.com News (March 10, 2010) - Savvis, Inc. (Nasdaq: SVVS) said it will offer its Asia-Pacific clients Savvis Symphony Open cloud solution later this month.
Demand has picked up considerably in the region and clients will be served from the company’s Singapore data center, which provides approximately 18,000 square feet of raised floor space.
Suan Soon Cheng, managing director for Savvis Asia Pacific, noted the benefits of the new service.
“We are pleased to add Savvis Symphony Open cloud infrastructure to our growing portfolio of managed IT services to meet the needs of enterprises across Asia-Pacific. New and existing clients can now benefit from Savvis Symphony Open’s on-demand, dynamically scalable resources allowing them to control their IT costs and tailor their usage and set-up to meet their individual needs,” said Cheng.
Recently the company appointed Mark Smith as its new managing director for North Asia, which includes Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea and Japan.
Also, on March 8th the company officially welcomed Jim Ousley as its chief executive officer. “As Savvis’ new CEO, I’m looking forward to building on our strong foundation and providing increased value to our customers, employees and shareholders,” Ousley said.
