Was it the hottest HostingCon ever?
Even the most hardcore Web hosting enthusiast found plenty to smile about in Austin, TX.

Scientists inform us that so far in 2010, the temperatures worldwide have never been hotter. In fact, two sources of temperature data – the National Climatic Data Center and NASA – report that through June, 2010 is the warmest year ever recorded since data collection began in 1880.
We can draw a parallel, of sorts, about HostingCon 2010. Attendance figures shot up nearly twenty five percent to more than 1,600 - a new show record - and booth space was comfortably sold out way in advance. To add fuel to this HostingCon fire, did you notice the abundance of happy hour get-togethers? It was more like happy days over July 19-21.
And the el Nino factor was the cPanel Party at Pure Ultra Lounge on Tuesday night. More than 750 jammed the nightclub to enjoy champagne, cocktails, and the sizzling sounds of the Spazmatics. This was quite easily the best shindig to date - even surpassing the TopHosts/FastServers cruise at Navy Pier three years ago.
Let’s not forget that the Web hosting agenda was fulfilled quite well within the cool confines of the Austin Convention Center and that Web hosts such as SoftLayer, The Planet and Rackspace Hosting represented the Lone Star State in fine fashion. San Diego gets the nod for the hugely popular Web hosting conference in 2011 and we all know that city has its work cut out for it.
Enjoy the HostingCon 2010 pictures.
