A lot of companies have used the ‘Economic Stimulus’ angle to rouse interest in their products and services. Thousands of press releases have been issued with that slant as well - some with legitimate offers and many others with just slightly discounted prices. And the Web hosting providers are right there every step of the way. That’s not a slam just an observation.
So you’d think I would just turn a blind eye when yet another news release sneaks through all the spam and lands in the inbox? Not so.
Onlybusiness.com came through with "an all-inclusive suite of bundled web business packages" which includes premium website hosting, custom site design, expert consultation, full Content Management System, search engine submission and several other features, for less than $40 bucks a month. That struck me as a good deal.
The recession continues to rip into sales and profits, and companies have resorted to layoffs and other cost-cutting measures to weather the storm. As Daniel Meyerov, CEO and co-founder of OnlyBusiness.com says: "Many people are looking at the economy and realizing their business needs to be more competitive than ever, or they are considering launching a business for the very first time...(these) packages allows these entrepreneurs to get a complete 'start-to-finish' web offering, and to compete on the web with the best quality design and services, at affordable, recession-busting prices."
Think about it. There really hasn't been a lot of positive reports lately what with the unemployment numbers, the ongoing credit crunch and the dismal consumer spending. Small businesses have traditionally been regarded as catalysts to economic growth and employment so it would behoove any entrepreneurial minded firm, individual or government body in charge to give these cash-strapped companies a break so they can continue that fine tradition. Looking for it in the form of bailout money is fine if you know where and how to collect but the real answers will come from companies with real solutions.
