When you walk away from a Search Engine Strategies conference, you leave with information overload. This year’s conference, held at Toronto’s Sheraton Centre on June 8-10, 2009 was no exception.
As usual the keynote selections were first rate. Tara Hunt’s introduction on increasing your Whuffie (social currency) by participating, understanding and celebrating with your online community set the stage well for a feverish agenda of sessions geared to simplifying and expanding your understanding of SEO, SEM and now SNS (social networking strategy).
The term marketing mix has never been more appropriate given the quantity of options that one has to engage in nowadays but gaining perspective and grasping the concepts having never been more important. Paid search, mobile marketing and social media presentations mixed in with practical know how on Google Adwords, website design and performance tracking made for a powerful marketing workout. On the lighter side, networking with others who share your pain can be a tad comforting as well.
Have a look at some of the photos of the 2009 presentations and Sponsors & Exhibitors that make Search Engine Strategies a must attend event.
