One of the world’s best known Web hosts, Go Daddy announced on May 19th that it has set another record for philanthropy.
Go Daddy Cares, the firm’s philanthropic division, surpassed the $4.2 million mark at last weekend’s Make-A-Wish Ball in Scottsdale, AZ, breaking last year’s $3.4 million in contributions.
Customers can get involved right now to push the figure further for 2012 and make a big difference in helping those most in need. All it takes is kicking in a few cents to round up to the nearest dollar each time a Go Daddy purchase is made. Contributions to this “Round Up for Charity” drive will go to Hope for Haiti. Go Daddy will match customer donations.
CEO Bob Parsons said: “Go Daddy has always stepped up to help those less fortunate … and as Go Daddy grows more successful, our donations get bigger and bigger too. We hope other companies will be inspired to step up and share the wealth. It’s just the right thing to do.”
