WebSiteHosting.com, acquired for $190,000 in January 2011, was supposed to be a respected industry site with diverse tools, useful content and quality reviews for Web hosting shoppers.
But money changes things, as we all know. Fast forward to May 2011 and several bids later, the domain is once again under new ownership. The chief beneficiary, Michael Jackness, has just raked in a very handsome $225,000 profit.
Despite the quick turnaround and nice payout, there are five other domains that have sold for more so far in 2011: AutoInsurance.org / $440,000; GamesForGirls.com / $500,000; Puzzle.com / $500,000; RunningShoes.com / $700,000 and DomainName.com went for $1,000,000.
But the shrewd Jackness (www.mikejackness.com) has picked up another winner recently, namely onlinestorage.com, to take advantage of the sizzling online backup sector. What do you think that will go for?
