I know nothing of the company you speak of but I do know about flash intros.

Flash intros are mostly pointless and can cost you valauble visitors. Most people will give your site 5 - 10 seconds to capture their attention or they are gone. The loading of a flash intro could take all of these precious seconds.

Flash can be used to help illustrate your message but as an intro you could be turning away visitors to your site.

I know you can have the skip intro button but in my experience the most important thing to capture your visitors attention is a headline on your web site aka large font words drawing people in. In fact I am not sure whether it is truth or fiction but word on the street that the most clicked link on a web site is...skip intro.
