I host on 512kbps and it lags a bit for the players but this is because most of the time i live a far distance away E.g I live in the Northern Territory (Darwin, Australia) and they live in New Zealand or Perth (Western Australia). Any internet speed above 512 kbps and you will be able to host 5v5 with people that live relatively close to you.
