Is anybody going to Ad-tech in San Francisco? It looks to be a bigger show and more varied than the SES show(s).
What is everybody's feelings about trade shows as part of the marketing mix for your company? I think that they are great sources of meeting new prospects and picking up on new trends through the conferences and such.
Not heading there but I do enjoy attending Internet World in New York or ISPCON. Trade shows do offer an opportunity to meet new people and fellow professionals as well as see new trends. Too bad HostCon got rescheduled for next Spring! Our CTO and I were looking forward to Vegas

I think tradeshows serve as a great networking event. The value and ROI is much better than some of the other traditional marketing venues. Are you planning to exhibit, or just attend? You should evaluate the cost of attending the event vs. exhibiting as well as the ROI for both. That's the best way to determine if a show is worth your investment not only in money, but time, energy and other resources.
