What is Soft Computing?
Hi
Traditional electronic computations tend to be black and white. When working in binary code, with sequences of zeros and ones, there is no chance for anything else but simple "yes or no" answers. While that may be an adequate way of computing for many tasks, soft computing takes a different approach. In short, soft computing allows the computer to take on a certain level of imprecision in its work. Some may equate this with artificial intelligence, in that it is similar to the way the human brain works.

Re: What is Soft Computing?
Soft computing refers to a collection of computational techniques in computer science, machine learning and some engineering discipline. Basically, soft computing is not a homogeneous body of concepts and techniques. Rather, it is a partnership of distinct methods that in one way or another conform to its guiding principle.

Re: What is Soft Computing?
Soft Computing is dedicated to system solutions based on soft computing techniques. It provides rapid dissemination of important results in soft technologies-computer, a fusion of research in evolutionary algorithms and genetic programming, systems neuroscience and neural network, fuzzy set theory and fuzzy systems and chaos theory and chaotic systems.

Re: What is Soft Computing?
This is really fantastic site. On further examination of this last component some additional considerations are needed.Soft Computing is dedicated to system solutions based on soft computing techniques.

Re: What is Soft Computing?
Soft Computing is a term applied to a field of computing that is characterized by the use of incorrect solutions to difficult tasks of computing, such as solving NP-complete problems for which an exact solution can not be established in time polynomial.
