Miles
I'm starting up a business and am not yet incorporated. I'd still be a Schedule C. Say I leave my day job and drive 5 miles for something specific to my new business, then I drive 20 miles to my home. Say also that my day job is 18 miles from my home. What mileage do I record? 5 miles to the new business thing, 25 miles for the total miles getting to and from the new business thing, or do I subtract the 18 miles I would have driven anyway, and record 7 miles?
