Heavy Load Server..Need Help!
Hello friends,
I have planned to host a web application shortly and I expect that my user base would grow very fast to almost 10000 users a day.I would be using Linux as my OS and MySQL 5.0 as my database server. My site would not do very IO intensive operations (the maximum packet that will be transfered in a single request would be less than 500Kb).
Now, what server configuration would be appropriate for my portal? How much data space will be required to sustain 100,000 users a month given that each user provides data of 250K in an average? What growth considerations must I take into consideration?
Will a single dedicated server with an Intel 2GHz Celeraon Processor + 1GB RAM + 200GB of SATA Hard disk + 2000GB of monthly transfer suffice my requirements?
How do I inscrease the server response time if the load increases abruptly??? Do I add new hardwares or add cluster???
