Default What is Google doing to stop click fraud?

With search engine advertising, marketers pay search engine companies such as Google Inc. and Yahoo! Inc. to display their text ads on Internet surfers' computer screens when these potential customers use specific keywords related to what the business is selling.

Click fraud occurs when a user intentionally clicks on an ad for a reason other than to view the underlying content. The bogus clicks may occur dozens, even hundreds or thousands of times.

So what is Google doing to stop click fraud?

Is Google doing enough to reimburse the loss incurred by advertisers?

Is Google doing enough to control the practice?

I visited a page http://www.organicspam.com/click_fraud.asp and found some useful information about click fraud and how Google is coping with it.

However, Google has confirmed that it is testing a new Adwords system, where advertisers will be saved from click fraud. Let us see what happens.

Its annoying that you have no idea about the clicks and you have to depend upon Adsense about the number of clicks.

i dont think google is doing anything to stop fake clicks. I had set up google adwords and at the same time i had google ****ytics and had my own hit tracking system in cpanel and one using 3rd party tool. You saw i am giving lots more then double on google adwords then what google was sending to me.

I ask google team and they replied saying if any one clicks twice on your adword it will count as 2 no matter he comes to your site only after 2nd or 4th click.

They them self say then don't care for fraud clicks.
