They are some steps that you need to do before setting up Adwords account, here is few of them:

You need to define a strategy for that account before creating it. That is to say, to have a clear idea about the mean aim of that account.

The basic Steps

The first step: Set up a gmail account to create your AdWords account. Once you log into your Adwords account, you will be asked to name your first campaign then to set the location for your ads to appear. This information can be edited whenever you want.

Then, you will have access the five fields: headline (The title of your Ad, 25 characters to exploit), description 1 and 2(35 characters for each line), display URL (URL that will be shown on the Ads) and destination URL (the url of your landing page).

Keywords: Adding keywords is an important step that you need to pay attention to. You can use the “keyword” to match the ad exactly to the chosen phrase, [keyword] to match ads only to the exact term, -keyword to not match with the chosen term. Also, we should not forget the download option when you’re using hundreds of keywords.

These are the basic steps to start your first campaign on Google Awords. Don’t forget that this is just the beginning for a so long journey to improve your campaign to fit your aims and complete your online strategy.

Google Adwords feature Up to 20 IP addresses, or ranges of addresses, can be excluded per campaign. All ads in the campaign are prevented from showing for users with the IP addresses specified.
Location-based exclusion is also offered as a method of narrowing targeted users.

Adwords is one marketing technique that continues to allude me, but I continue to work on it because I see the value in adwords. Although frustrating it may be, I know that if I continue to work on it, like everything else I have done, I will get better.
