im burning though lots of cash with ad words. can seem to get many hosting sales, overture was worse, any advice?

My advice is to refine your words. Concentrate words on your niche, you do have one right? There are tons of affordable terms out there in my opinion, you just have to be creative, the obvious words are not going to cut it as everyone and their grandmother is doing the same and you got some big players out there with ALOT of cash and capital to make them work.

I would try out some of the other pay per click search engines like FindWhat ....they can send over quite a bit of traffic for a fraction of the cpc.

I have been using Google Adwords for over a year and I agree completely with your complaint. As of several months ago, Google has continually placed three of our keywords in their "at risk" category. The keywords are fully optimized and clearly define our business. We have followed all of the suggestions offered by Google to "optimize" our ads/keyword etc. when we finally realized that the "solution" to the problem was incresing the price-per-click rate. We have contacted Google regarding this obvious irony. They confirmed the fact. Basically, it all boils down to, "the more you pay", the higher you will appear in the list, and thus the more chances you will have of someone clicking on your ad. A very expensive solution indeed.

I agree with you that PPC is not giving good results and it is also not a brand building effect and people are again coming on Impression ads at least it make some sort of brand image. I will suggest to have proper keywords and further your site should be enough good to convert visitors into sale. How I will sugest you can try

I dont get it. You mean that you get lots of hosting sales or you dont get any?
