Affiliate is the term for a person who sells a product belonging to someone else. A seller will often “allow” advertising of their product on the affiliates site and the affiliate will then collect revenues based on the agreed upon payment options. Here are the most common payment structures:

• CPS- This is cost per sale and is the most widely used payment structure. This payment method requires a sale before the affiliate is paid. It breaks down something like this. • CPC- Cost per click or cost per mile is best described as cost per impression; this is where the seller will pay the affiliate based on the number of clicks their specified link generates. It has an added benefit in that the affiliate is not dependent on sales for compensation; however, the amounts are usually very small and calculated on a per thousand basis. For example, a CPM of five dollars translates into .005 per click. This entire structure is based on the law of averages that says that there are a base number of sales per page view.

All of these have their benefits for both the seller and the affiliate.

A seller is not tied to expensive advertising costs that may or may not yield a sale. Instead, others spread the word and the only cost incurred is when a desired action takes place, like a sale or contact information.

The affiliate wins by earning commissions on product they do not have to stock or ship. In addition, they are not responsible for product guarantees or customer service. Important to note though is that a successful affiliate marketer will be wary of the products they offer. Because while they are not responsible for it poor customer service on one product can ruin their recommendations for other better products. Know who and what you are promoting and do not be taken in simply by high numbers.

There are tools that can help you use affiliate marketing to make money online. Some of these include email marketing, opt-in lists and lead generation. These among other programs can mean the difference between success and failure. Choose your affiliate marketing plan carefully as well as the peripheral aids.

I don't know anyone who is affiliated in affiliated marketing. So I can't really answer that. but I do know, that you wouldn't be owning your own business unless you invest money into it. By means of a start up cost, or buying products yourself and re selling them, advertisement or something along those lines.email programs should be easy to navigate with a comprehensive interface so even the computer novice will feel comfortable and confident using the program.
