Google and DMOZ

I just got listed on DMOZ...just wondering how much weight it carries with Google?

For some reason I'm still in the sandbox with Google? Does anyone know how long it usually takes in order to get regularly listed in Google?

It can take anywhere from 1 month to six weeks before you start seeing search results in google -- sit tight.

Seems there is a lot of discussion about Dmoz getting so far behind due to lack of editors etc, dont know how true this is though

Why not sort yourself out with a google sitemap

This will get the spiders to pick up all the pages you want, and not the ones you dont want listed

It takes a feww weeks. However Google may index you DMOZ listing but then to continue using another information collected by their own crawlers. I've see this.

DMOZ will take a time to get accepted so you should keep on doing link building to your site with some of the methods like forum and blogs, this will give you good result and soon your site will be out of sandbox.

Sounds like You have to work for link building on our sites. I am sure that It would be listed very far by Google and Your sites would be out of the sandbox as well. There are amount of link building activities like Social bookmarking , Forums , Blogs , Article submission etc.

Not really. Virgin Yahoo! site listed should attract swarm bots as well. Set a link from a site that is constantly spidered all the major engines do the same job. Although new experimental engine does not seem to count Dmoz. It 's a good test.
