I often hear that word target marketing. But I am not aware of it. Do you know about target marketing?

A target marketing is the market segment which a particular product is marketed to. It is often defined by age, gender and/or socio-economic grouping. A strategic approach in which an organization attempts to get the most from its resources by following a planned procedure for identifying customers who possess the greatest potential to respond to the marketer's efforts and help the marketer meet objectives.

Same is picking a niche to target. You'll do alot better targeting a niche market as upposed to trying to reach a broad group.
