Affiliate Programs stink--or is that AdSense?

I've been told by some that Affiliate Programs don't make any money and to stick with AdSense. Others say that Affiliate Programs are the only way to make real money on the internet.

I have more experience with AdSense than affiliate programs, so I wanted to get your opinions about which is true and which is not--if either.

adsense is betetr ..as atleast you get paid paid for each click but in affilite programs you earn only after the sales is made!!

Adsense has been spoiled by Google. I suggest you to attract targeted traffic and to ask fixed monthly payments from vendors.

google's adsense is really great. especially if u have expensive ads like for an example this one:

There are several keys to determining the best affiliate program for your web site or business. Here are a couple:

You have to know who your visitors/demographic is and only promote relevant products to your market. Look at your web logs to determine who is visiting your site.

The affiliate program needs to have a great sales process. When you send a visitor to them they need to be able to close the deal. Ask them for conversion rates of similar affiliates.

They have to offer great service. If you are looking to drive sales to a company that offers residual commission then they better do a good job keeping the customers you send them. Ask them what their retention rate is.

They have to pay a fair amount of commission so you can make something from your visitors.

My suggestion is test a few affiliate programs and see which one works best for you and your audience.

There are a lot of great affiliates programs out there.
