3 Methods to Effective Marketing
Internet Marketing is not overly complicated, and its possible to succeed online with limited knowledge about how Internet Marketing works. Some simple Internet marketing strategies that can be implemented in any business, venture, or means of promotion are:
1.) Message Boards/Forums-
Participating in industry related message boards is one of the easiest ways that you can promote a business, product, or service. Message boards are sites that provide you with a forum of a common interest. For example, if you are promoting a business related to Golfing, then you can do a search on a search engine for Golfing Forums and then proceed to promote your business on these forums. Thus, in promoting your product/service/business you will be aiming at an expansive target audience, willing to discuss Golfing or whatever industry you are involved in. In marketing through message boards it is important to recognize that you can subtly promote your business through what is called a ‘Forum Signature’, in which you can be providing an outlet for fellow users to browse what you have to offer or what your business is about. By providing useful commentary on the message boards you will be providing value, and in turn this expansive target audience can convert into potential customers via the link in your signature.
2.) SEO Consulting Firm-
A firm with SEO experience could be incredibly helpful to overall business goals. The entire concept of SEO alone can be complex; especially if you are new to the concept of Internet Marketing itself, and knowing how to properly implement the most effective SEO strategies can take years to master. Although the term “Consulting Firm” can sound intimidating and overwhelming the process is actually quite simple because it consists of interviewing candidates and selecting the most qualified one. That is all there is to it, and in fact it can be done quickly and can immediately have a significant impact on website traffic, because in online business if you have high search engine rankings this will typically translate into improved web traffic. Massive amounts of Web traffic through high search engine rankings is possible because Internet users trust the search engines, and use it as an everyday means to attain wanted information. Thus the most relevant websites for a particular term are the ones that Internet users trust and will most likely visit.
3.) Outsourcing Internet Marketing?
A business owner can focus on his/her strengths and outsource the rest in order to focus on priority tasks to become much more productive. By hiring a consulting firm to take care of executing Internet Marketing strategies, you can get a lot more done in less time, and focus on higher level activities such as product creation, building JV partner relationships, and copywriting. If done properly the outsourcing of Internet Marketing tasks can almost ensure success in the long run.
In short, simple Internet Marketing methods that do not require an abundance of knowledge are most often the timeless techniques that are always effective in promoting a business, product, or service. In addition, the outsourcing of these lower level tasks; such as web design, SEO, article marketing, and niche research, can play a critical part in establishing an online team that will translate into less work and more profit.

Re: 3 Methods to Effective Marketing
Hi
I would have to agree with this in every way.
In addition to this its usually useful to pay a web hosting forum to advertise your banners and what not. Usually it does not break your bank account to bad for start up hosts.
What banners do is it might not give you instant success and maybe even very little clicks on it. However when your banner is constantly up it put your business in the back of their head and later on down the road they will check it out and hopefully buy your product.
And for the people just getting started; would you happen to know any good outsourced internet marketing firms to recommend to the starter companys?
thanks
Have a nice time ahead

Re: 3 Methods to Effective Marketing
Effective marketing is all about effective budgeting. Train the managerial staff to plan and allocate budgets for all marketing activities and most importantly, co-ordinate activities between departments.

Re: 3 Methods to Effective Marketing
1. A company website. This is probably one of the best and most cost effective forms of having your company visible to your potential clients....and its available 24/7! If you have the time and patience to learn to put something together, give it a try! Or, consider hiring a professional designer in order to get an exceptional site. The benefits of having a website are definitely worth the expense. But remember to shop around and be comfortable with your designer... and the money you pay.
2. Signs in or on your vehicle. Window decals are fairly inexpensive considering their lifespan. Remember to include your website address. If funds are really short, make signs on Bristol board and put them inside the windows. You can also get Licence decals. These can include your website address, company name, and phone number and fit nicely around your licence plate.
3. Join your local business associations. And don’t forget to get involved! Your local Board of Trade or Chamber of Commerce can provide an abundance of opportunities for your business. The networking events are a way to meet other business professionals in your community. And, getting involved in the committees allows you to share your expertise and be recognized by your fellow members.
4. Pinup Flyers. Include a tear-off section on the bottom and put the flyers up at your local stores and other locations that may have bulletin boards.
5. Fax Broadcast. Design an informational or fun page, similar to a newsletter, and send it out to fax numbers for your target market. Please note that fax broadcasting is not allowed in some areas of some countries, so be sure it is okay in your area.

Re: 3 Methods to Effective Marketing
1. Go after your target audience. An advertising campaign should be geared to your niche market. It is a common mistake to create generic ads that do not speak the language or grab the attention of your potential customers.
2. Highlight your competitive advantage. One of the keys to all advertising is to accentuate the pros of your company, those factors that give you your competitive edge. Too many ads are clever but fail to sell the benefits of the product or service.
3. Establish an image. You can recognize the McDonald's arches while whizzing by on the highway. Likewise, there are plenty of products that you recognize by their packaging or logo. Image counts when it comes to advertising and promoting your business. Too many advertisers do not work to build a consistent image. Check out Three Brand Identity Myths That Will Bring Your Business Down for additional issues to avoid.
4. You have to spend money to make money. There are ways to save money, but typically advertising is not the place to cut corners. It will affect sales, and that affects the bottom line. Successful advertising may cost some money, but that is because it works. Check out More Bang for Your Advertising Buck for cost-cutting tips that won't cut your goals.
5. Advertise in the right places. Your favorite magazine, radio station, or even television program might not be a favorite of your audience. Know what they read, watch, and listen to, and advertise in media that reaches your target market.
6. Don't allow your budget to run your advertising campaign. If you budget $5,000 per month for advertising, you've made it very easy from a bookkeeping perspective. However, if like most businesses you have seasonal highs and lows, you are spending too much money advertising during down times and not enough when you want to attract customers. Too many entrepreneurs do not budget according to their seasonal advertising needs.
7. Diversify. It is all too common for business owners to choose the best place to advertise based on price and potential rate of returns and then stop. As is the case with investing, you do not want to put all of your eggs in one basket. Spread your advertising dollars around.
8. Don't try to be everything to everyone. No product or service will appeal to everyone. Many business owners, including corporate executives, try to come up with ways to reach every market. Typically, this does not work. It can spell disaster for small businesses, who cannot afford to spread themselves too thin. Therefore, find your market and be everything you can be to that audience.
9. Test your ads in advance. If you have the time or money to invest in focus groups, you should test your ads on other people. Do they understand and accept the message that you are trying to convey? For further information, read Focus Groups: How They Can Work for Your Small Business. There are other less-expensive ways to test your ads as well: questionnaires, for example. The article Creating Questionnaires for Gathering Market Research can be helpful.
10. Monitor your ads. It is very easy to ask new customers or clients where they heard about you. As simple as this is, many entrepreneurs do not bother to do so. It is advantageous to know which ads generate business.
Best wishes
