I am going to build a web site and to host it. The reason for my asking is that some days ago I came across Marblehost.com and found out interesting things: free domain for life, the PHP scripts installer and website builder. They say that they has over 70 unique templates and you can build a website in 15 minutes.
What do you think about these offers?

My opinion is that you're never going to get a satisfactory answer from this thread. You need to be more specific in what you want from a host. What are you going to use it for, how many sites do you want to host on your plan, what is the maximum you want to pay, etc.

I'd recommend making a list of what features you need from your web hosting (if you don't know what features you need, there are many good websites out there that have articles on how to choose a web host). Once you know what you need, then you can make a list of hosts that offer the features you need, and at what price they do it. Then, to make the final decision, I would do some extensive google searches to find reviews and people's real experiences with the top 2 or 3 hosts you are looking at.
