Hosting Provider, InterServer, Adds New Carrier Hotels, Transit Providers, Peering to Enhance Network
June 14, 2006 – (TopHosts News Brief) – New Jersey-based web hosting provider, InterServer, Inc., announced the addition of new carrier hotels, a transit provider, and an additional peering point to its network, to help increase capacity and reliability of its system.
The new carrier hotels, both located in New York City, includes TelX at 60 Hudson, and Telehouse at 25 Broadway. The sites enable InterServer to connect and share data with hundreds of other data networks.
As a peering point for the company, InterServer also added a gigabit connection to one of the largest neutral Internet exchange points on the U.S. East Cost, NYIIX. Due to increased demand, InterServer’s PAIX peering connection was also enhanced to a gigabit line.
“From a network administration standpoint, our new presence at these two carrier hotels represents a huge step forward and enables our network to send and receive data to other networks on much shorter route,” InterServer Chief Technical Officer, John Quaglieri, said in an InterServer press release. “We are fortunate as a company to be geographically close to such dense and high-capacity infrastructure in the New York City area.”
