Technical Hosting Question
I have a technical hosting question. And was wondering what section to post in. If anyone can point me to the right place for future reference, I would appreciate it.
Here is my question ...
I had a website coming soon page up that I just removed. I had created an index.html file w/ the simple message and have subsequently removed this file. My root file is now index.php and I created a simple directive in .htaccess.
DirectoryIndex index.php
I completely removed the old index.html file, but when I go to the root domain, I see the old coming soon message.

Re: Technical Hosting Question
did you remove .htaccess file too. Use winSCP to login to your domain, then delete any file on the root. (don't use filezilla to log in as root) I am pretty sure the file is still there

Re: Technical Hosting Question
Cloud Hosting Services can be considered the next level of hosting. It has another advantage, if you need computing power. You no longer need to address book with a sudden and massive traffic to your website. You pay for that much computing power used. In a slow day and pay less, while the busy days you will pay more, you only pay for what you use.

Re: Technical Hosting Question

Re: Technical Hosting Question
It is probably cached in your browser. Clear your cache.

Re: Technical Hosting Question
This definitely seems to be a browser cache issue, no big deal though. Have you tried the suggestion given by TailoredVPS in his reply above ? If it has worked out well then its good, while if it hasn't try to re-upload the new index file onto the server, also remove the redirect that you had previously set.
