Um, don't hate, appreciate and congratulate! I don't need a big, fancy site to do what I do. (Though I bartered services with a professional web site designer to build the site I designed so its graphical interface is high quality, not a cheap template.) So, GoDaddy does just fine since all I needed to do was upload my already created web site to their server.
I wish I could get my daily venti soy white chocolate mocha no whip latte from Starbucks for what I pay per month for my website! The person who posted asked for BUDGET web hosts--you know, those who aren't chargin' folk up for services they don't need. I responded that GoDaddy provides that service. No, for $3.95 (or $8.95 which is what I pay), I don't get all the bells and whistles of an Amazon.com. But I don't NEED all that and don't want to be charged for what I won't use. I'm sure GoDaddy has web hosting plans for those who need all that but they also have them for those who DON'T and guess what, they're REASONABLE to work with! They don't have JERKS for customer service reps like my two--correction THREE--previous web hosting companies, who weren't even as cheap! One was charging me nearly $50.00 a month and couldn't help me upload the files to their server! Even my web designer, who builds sites for major companies, couldn't figure out their instructions!
With GoDaddy, I ALSO get amazing discount deals on additional web hosting accounts as well as NO setup fees and NO long term contracts!
If you learn how to market properly, you can find people you can overcharge for your services without hatin' on those of us who choose NOT to partake of overpriced services when all we need is low cost web hosting. Besides, it's not our job to make anyone else rich.
My clients, who are national business editors, love my site. If it works for them, it works for me. Thanks for giving me a chance to rave about GoDaddy.com!
