Who to go with?

Hi

Im new to web hosting and domain names and really need sum guidance from people that have been there and done that.

I want to get a domain name and a hosting site for my boyfriends website, its going to need space to hold many MP3's because he does his own remixing and makes his own albums etc.

I just wanted advice on which web hosting site that will supply me with a domain name of .com preferably. I would like to spend around £15-£20 a year, its just theres so many web hosters out there its so hard to pick one when its your first time because you dont know what you really need and what web hoster will provide you with the best service.

As you have a small budget to �15 - �20 then I would suggest looking at site5 (US company) their url is http://www.site5.com/. If you are looking for a UK based hosting company, you would be pushed to find and good/reliable hosting company for less than �50.

on the dedicated server(probably won't need dedicated cuz u just want a simple site) it says u can get an external firewall. so i guess it'll protect u. i'm a newbie and i'm just starting up some fans sites using hostmywebsitenow.
if u wana start a SIMPLE site then under 'web hosting' if u click on 'hosting' plans there are heaps there. i would get the 'windows operating system' 'deluxe' plan cuz it comes with this thing called 'community server' that lets u easily add a forum,blogs and galleries to ur site.u can register a domain name there too.

You can just follow these simple steps which may help you to choose your best host out there,

- Do a search for Web Host by looking over web host directories and also by getting recommendations from the forums.
- Select the hosts who meets up with your requirements and get advice from the forums. It helps you to know about a host more than enough in their support and service.
- Choose the best and Do look over to their TOS and clearly take upon the requirements and services you expect from them in detail. This is a part most of the customers lag too.
- Have a good communication with your host in regular and try to explain them in detail and in clear if you have some problems.
