Hosting with FFMPeg?

Would you recommend a hosting provider with YouTube clones on the account? Should it necessarily be a VPS or dedicated? Can I go for a shared account? What might be hidden dangers if I go for a shared to host my video sharing site on?
I couldn't find any shared host with FFMpeg installed so far, HostV.com offer VPS deals with this feature supported, not sure if I have enuf traffic for a VPS plan.
