I was looking at some of the prices of the US hosting companies and was wondering. Is there anything I have to think about when choosing a US hosting company that I can host my UK based websites.
I have been looking at websitesource.com, anybody have any experience with these people? Or maybe mediatemple.net?
Thanks

There isn't anything wrong with using US hosting companies but there is a couple of areas I would look at first.
1) search for hosting companies in your country. (the different time zones can be a really pain when you need to speak to someone in support).
2) Call the hosting company up & speak to there sales team. Find out how easy it is to up/down grade hosting package & See how long it takes for someone to answer.
3) Send an email to there support team. The response for a good hosting company should be no long that 30mins - 1hr.
4) go to the netcraft(.)com website & see what the server uptime is.
Finally choose a hosting account that you can cancel at anytime.
Happy hunting
