We've considered adding telephone support, but with the extra incurred costs, we'd have to increase the price of our products.
Plus, if your service is A+ then you don't have customers with problems - prevention is better than a cure

If you have phone support I will get for you, sometimes there is a problem on the servers and there is not way to contact the support, e-mail is not fast like phone.

We can provide you emergency line in case any problems with servers. We do not provide phone support, so this is one of the reasons we keep our prices low.
Thanks.

Re: Does low cost mean low quality?
From my experience, most low cost providers overload servers to squeeze every dime out of them they can. They have to do that because the cost verse profit ratio is very small, which means they've got to get all they can. If your site is anything more then a business card with a phone number, I'd look for a hosting company with 24/7 support around the $10 range.

Re: Does low cost mean low quality?
I had a host once that simply went out of business one day without telling a sole. I'm sure this happens everyday. Update: I've been with www.HostQT.com for a while now and they have been great. Good companies deserve a good plug ;}

Quality
If a plan sounds too good to be true at a low cost, there are usually hidden cost.
I have seen a few hosting companies trying to be competitive and now they are out of business or leasing software from others as they could not afford their system software.
Quality is truly a Quality when its given up with a reasonable cost.

Re: Does low cost mean low quality?
When I was starting out, price and support were the most important thing to me. I chose someone who had great support, but their prices were high. About a year later I changed hosts to save $, and I think the savings was probably equal to the decline in support quality I received. Overall, it just takes experience to find a good balance of price and support. I would definitely look for recommended hosts. If they are making others happy, at least you have a chance ;-)
ps : on a friend recomendation i shifted to www.comforthost.net .
Good luck.

Re: Does low cost mean low quality?
Hosts are not unreliable, it is the people hosting their website of the same server as you that you cannot trust. Most problems that cause your site to go down is a bad script that someone writes for their website and it causes processes on the server to freeze up which in turn hurts everyone's site on the server. The cheapest way to get around this is with a VPS server so that other people's scripts do not impact the reliability of your site. You can get good cheap VPS Hosting at http://www.virtuosonetsolutions.com/...iate.php?id=46

Re: Does low cost mean low quality?
Along with what everyone is saying, look out for low-cost hosting if it doesn't provide the customer support needed. There's some good deals out there for cheap, with solid support and reliable experts available to help, so we shouldn't dismiss it right away. But like anything in life, things go wrong and if there's no help to fix it, it's useless.
