Sometimes. Sometimes not. That is more like if I got 200 apples and how many are rotten inside -- if they all look good -- kind of question, you just take your chances when you go with a super cheap hosting -- you also lose out on the support. Just go with a company that you think is stable and see...

Low cost means nothing if the hoster's biz model is based on cheating.
This is what 1and1.com is doing!

Thumbs up Re: Does low cost mean low quality?

Hi Friends,
It is my first post on the forum..

I don't agree that CHEAP HOSTING means CHEAP SERVICE... I happened to get a good deal with Dreamhost.com thry a coupon from my friend. I got 1yr L1 hosting for a good deal, i can host any number of domains,etc..

I didn't see any disadvantage till now..

So if we are getting any good deal (discount) from popular hosts i feel we can give it a try..

Btw feel free to PM me for coupons in case u r looking for hosting with dreamhost.com
Regards,

Hello!

I agree, low cost doesnt mean low quality!
Im also on DreamHost 99$ for year of 20gb space/1000gb bandwith they never have failed me and customer service is great and so low cost...

I personally provide customer service for my customers, never failed on them i think they are satisfied, the customer comes allways first..

So yes low cost can be good quality as long as customer service and webhosting service works without problems.

On mine all depends on the company. They can offer you service for the low price and on it they will not spoil quality. The good company will not allow that clients were not happy their service. On it the company will try to keep the advantages.

Of course we all know companies that will bend over backwards to help their customers, and that goes for low cost companies as well as the most expensive. A lot of this comes down to the dedication of the people involved in providing the service.

However, when the chips are down, a serious technical issue is likely to overload the cheapest companies, just because one of the big reasons they are cheap is because they don't have lots of staff to fix the problems that come up.

Hi,everyone!
Good topic for discussion,Brilomax!I am almost agree with you and i am going to tell you my opinion about cheap or free hosting services.Maybe, this information will be very useful for newcomers.
Good free web hosting services are extremely hard to find!
Many internet users assume free web hosting is the ideal way to build a first site, but quickly learn that free hosts rarely offer much-needed assistance and support to non-paying customers(you can only imagine what kind of support free hosting companies offer. It's not services,it's damage!). For the beginner a free account can be a great way to get started building a website. But when user needs to host professional web site, business website,he/she will find paid hosting company that help you get traffic to your site and give you the tools you need to succeed on the web. After all, there is a reason it is FREE.So,nothing is truly free.
Don't let your get left in the dark with free hosts or cheap hosts!

Firstly, you should look through the suggestions of hosting services-traffic,disk space, support and all guarantee that company provides for the users. All companies provide different prices,it depends on many factors and one of them is a great compretitive position on the global market. So,don't think about suits when you are finding a hosting company with reliable services.
